The last Quarter!

Can you believe it? It's the last quarter of fourth grade! Where has the year gone?
As the students get ready for fifth grade, I am making a few changes in our classroom policies.
1. I will frequently be placing letter grades on assignments. Because students get letter grades in fifth grade, I would like them to have that experience in fourth grade. We had the letter grade discussion today and they have some idea what that means.
2. I will no longer be checking the assignment diaries for parent signatures. I am confident the students are able to take responsibility for their homework and tasks.
3. Students will receive points toward a final grade for turning in assignments and a point will be deducted for late assignments.
4. Points will be given for heading a paper correctly. The correct format for heading a paper will be entered on the writing page of the wiki.
5. Students are responsible for completing assignments on the wiki.

Today's homework:
Complete book covers.
Think of an animal you would like to research.
Turn in permission slips.
